He was born in 1954 in Radviliškis, where he lives and also works in Radviliškio šiluma Ltd. as a fitter. During his military service, he created his first wood carvings. Lithuanian history was the closest them and it reflected in carvers massive bas-reliefs. Since 2002 he takes part in carvers’ symposiums and exhibitions. Since 2005 he is a member of Lithuanian Folk Artist’s Society. In 2005 he was the winner of “Aukso vainikas” (Golden crown) and in 2009 he won I and II place in the regional round. He is a frequent participant and prize winner in competitive exhibitions of L. Šepka.
