Born in 1959,in Rokiškis. Attended the Vilnius Construction Technicum, where he received the speciality of technician-builder. In 2003, began to carve. The beginning of his carving was a miniature figure of a woman for a model sailboat that he was building. At first, carving was a freetime hobby, but it later became his work. Since 2008, has been a member of the Lithuanian Folk Artists' Society. A frequent participant in exhibitions and symposia. In 2009, he was named "Folk Artist of the Year“.
