While implementing the Latvian-Lithuanian cross-border cooperation project “Mid-Baltic Crafts”, there
was established wood carving workshop in Viesytė museum “Selija” (Sela). It is planned to organize the
educational session cycle “Amats roka” (Trade in your hand). Under the guidance of an experienced
specialist, the children will be able to not only learn about wood carver craft but also acquire some carving
skills by making a wooden toy or a little piece of art and burning Selonian ornaments or their own name in
the wood. There will be offered four thematic sessions depending on the child’s age.
