Aivars Students makes and restores furniture' makes wood carvings and wooden sculptures for gardens and parks.
Born, on 13 October 1956, in Valka (Latvia). Graduated from Cesis Vocational School No. 4 with the speciality of furniture joiner. Studied at the Graphic Arts Technical Innovation Folk University in the Applied Arts Department, and in 1995 received the title of Master of Applied Folk Arts. Since 1984, has made woodcarvings. Is a member of the applied arts studio "Dzine". Owns the individual enterprise "Koks A.S. ".

Has actively participated in wood-carving symposta in Latvia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Lithuania, Japan and Estonia. His works have been acquired by collectors in Latvia and other countries. Created the wooden sculpture ensemble "Zakxixšu pirtinxa" (Rabbit Sauna) at the Vilis Plūdonis memorial museum "Lejenieki".
