Normundas Štefenhagenas

Jelgava

Born on 23 August 1970. Since childhool, Normunds has been interested in wood-working. His parents decided to send him to learn at vocational school Nr. 17 in Riga, where Normunds learned wood-carving and u'oodprocessing skills. After graduation in 1989, he began to work in the wood-processing industry. In 2000, he began working as a self-employed producer, and in 2003, established
the wood-working company "Urbiks" In 2008, he received a baccalaureate degree in business management at the Faculty of Economics of the Latvia Universify of Agriculture. Since 2009, he has been a member of the felgava Manufacturers and Trade Association. In recent years, has cooperated with craftsmen working with other types of materials in the Zemgale region and throughout Latvia
as well as abroad, in an effort to find combinations of desirable qualities using other materials (glass, metal). In the future, would like to continue to make contacts and to cooperate with specialists in various types ofcrafts, because
he has excellent resources necessary for such cooperation (a very convenient location, infrastructure, and facilities).

Has participated in these professional events:

• Nordpraktik Program in Pielavesi (Finland), 2002;
• ]elgava City Festival in felgava, 2003;
• Exhibition "Furniture 20O4" (organised by "BT 1") in Riga, 2004;
• Symposium of the Latvian - Lithuanian cross-border project for craftsmen, in Rokiškis, 2009.
